Volunteers Wanted: Help Shape AMEND’s Future Direction

Project summary

AMEND is developing a new strategy to evolve from an organisation focused primarily on providing information and support services into one that also prioritises advocacy. This shift will support the effective recruitment and onboarding of a new CEO by December 2027.

How will this project benefit the organisation?

By volunteering on this project, you’ll help AMEND shape its future direction—supporting the charity’s move into advocacy and strengthening its ability to champion the needs of those living with rare endocrine conditions.

Project description

In consultation with the CEO, the volunteer will discuss and plan a strategy meeting to be held in February 2026 (date TBD). Prior to the meeting, the volunteer should examine relevant documents including the previous strategy and member surveys. The volunteer will develop, administer a survey and analyse results prior to the strategy meeting.

The volunteer will facilitate the strategy meeting, write up a draft strategy document, circulate to all trustees for comment, then produce a final agreed strategy document for 2027-30. As the current CEO is due to retire, the strategy meeting and document should include the skills requirement for a new CEO.
